Chickens are up early and the first in bed down on the farm. The rooster thinks he a bit of royalty because he rules the roost but wait until he meets the Peacock the farmer has just gotten.

That old Rooster

Rooster No. 24

About This Painting: When ever the pig is out rooting around on the farm he seems to end up at the hen house. There is always so much going on there and hens have no problem in sharing the latest gossip on the farm.

It seems that the old Rooster got his tail feathers caught on the barb wire fence when he was trying to fly out of the chicken yard. Now he has tiny bald spot on his tail end that is making the Hens laugh. Old Rooster fails to see the humor.
